I was born in Tampa, FL but was raised in Miami, FL. I graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. Later I received my master's degree from Florida International University in Miami. I worked at Florida Christian School for 9 years before having my children and staying at home. Five years ago I was the assistant 3rd grade teacher at Covenant Christian. For the last 2 l/2 years I have taught Spanish at Community Christian School and really enjoy being here.
I had the privilege of being raised in a Christian home. At the age of 5, my dad led me to the Lord. Since he was a pastor, I had the privilege of being active in teaching Sunday school, playing the piano and helping with the youth of his church. Because my folks were both Cuban, they spoke Spanish at home. My mother spoke only Spanish to me so I could be fully fluent.
In 1986 I married Rob Dixon and we have 4 wonderful children: a son, Bobby who is a sophomore at the Naval Academy, Becky who is a sophomore at Flagler College, Elizabeth who is a Congressional page in Washington D.C., and Mandy who is in the 7th grade.
I enjoy being part of the Community Christian School family. We have a dedicated administration, who works with both teachers and parents to glorify Him.
