I was born and brought up in Athens, Greece. Following high school graduation, I earned my college degree in the secretarial field as well as my English language education. I met my husband when I was hired to work for the 2140th Communications Department of teh USAF Base at Hellenikon, Athens. We were married in August of 1988 and I was able to move to Florida in December of the same year. We have lived in Satellite Beach ever since. We have a daughter who attended CCS from 5th - 8th grade.
My love for books began in my teenage years. My first working library experience came many years later when I was asked to help in the library of the church we were attending at the time. That's when my training of how to classify, circulate and purchase new books and maintain a library first started. With that, a desire to offer the better alternative to adults of all age groups, small children, and the younger generation in general, became my passion. In addition, I wanted to be able to give parents as many resources and tools as I could to help them parent, educate, and entertain their children as well as bring them to faith.
Though my religious background growing up was Christian Orthodox, I never knew how to have a personal relationship with God until 1992. One of my favorite verses is Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
I have been volunteering in the CCS library since 2005, and although my daughter attends school elsewhere, Romans 12:2 guides my continued service here, and I am grateful for having this opportunity to do so - Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will."
