I have been a Christian as long as I can remember. I was raised in a Christian family by two loving parents who are excellent role models. I was baptized and confirmed at Boyds Presbyterian Church in Maryland. I learned that Jesus Christ is my savior and that I could trust in God at a young age.
I moved to Florida when I started college at Florida Tech. While attending Florida Tech, I had the opportunity to serve as a Young Life leader. This experience helped me to mature in my faith as I ministered to teenagers. I also found a church home and family at Trinity Presbyterian Church, where I continue to serve in the children’s ministry.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2004 with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Then I taught for three years in Brevard Public Schools, where I taught 5th grade, Kindergarten, and 4th grade. I earned my Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in the Global Online program. During graduate school, I was an intern at the Kennedy Space Center Fitness center, and then I worked as a fitness professional at Health First Pro Health and Fitness and Cocoa Beach Health and Fitness.
When I was ready to return to teaching, God opened the door for me at Community Christian School. I am very excited to teach Kindergarten!
God has blessed my life in many ways. Opportunities to work with children, enjoy surfing and the beach, and a wonderful marriage to my loving husband are just a few examples. As I have matured spiritually, I have learned that “in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28.
