My name is Josh Kucharyson, and I am so excited to be joining Community Christian School this year. I recently graduated from Colorado State University in May 2010 with a degree in English Education. All of my collegiate schooling took place in the beautiful state of Colorado, as did all of my childhood. My wife of 3 years and I recently moved to Florida in December of 2009 to complete my student teaching, which eventually led us both to CCS.
I was born in Fort Collins, Colorado, home to Colorado State, and absolutely loved my childhood there. Growing up in a state like Colorado instilled in me a passion for the outdoors, and I still thoroughly enjoy activities like hiking and camping. Growing up, both my parents encouraged all my brothers and me to play sports, so I have been an avid sports fan since I can remember. My two favorite sports are football and soccer.
As I mentioned above, I am married to my beautiful wife Sydney and could not be happier. We both met at the high school we graduated from; we actually served on our student leadership team together! It was not until after I graduated, though, that we began dating. And here we are now!
I was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was five. It was not until a mission’s trip to Nepal my junior year in high school that I recommitted my life to Christ and realized that He was the ultimate power in my life. Nepal completely changed my perspective on faith and trust in God, which I thank Him for each and every day!
