Welcome to CCS, where the Eagles live! God placed in me a desire to teach in a Christ-filled environment, and I am excited to be a part of the CCS family!
I graduated with a BS Degree in Physical Education from Florida State University and have a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. I am certified in Florida and Georgia and have a state endorsement in Educational Leadership in Florida. I am also certified with the Association of Christian Schools International, (ASCI). I obtained my CAP I, CAP II, and CAP III coaching certification from USA Volleyball and I am a certified IMPACT Instructor, teaching entry level volleyball coaches for the USAV Florida Region. I have attended many coaching clinics, including the USA High Performance Coaching Clinic in Colorado, and the Gold Medal Squared Coaching Clinic. I have run many camps and clinics, including several USAV High Performance camps and I am currently training coaches through "Get Set", a coaches mentoring program I designed for local Brevard County coaches. I am married to “Chief” John and have three children, Katie, 17, Johnny, 15, and Sveta, 13.
One of my primary goals is to offer a range of different physical activities and experiences to aid students in learning how to be a healthy and fit human being – take care of God’s temple! Physical activity helps children in becoming well-balanced in different aspects of their lives. It can help build self-esteem and ability to work well with others. With national statistics indicating that childhood obesity continues to be on the rise, I am happy to provide physical education classes that provide all of the students the chance to learn, move, play and get fit.
I invite all parents to get involved with any aspect of our Physical Education classes, in our elementary sports program, and/or in our competitive athletics program offered in middle and high school.
The following scripture is important to me personally, but is also very meaningful to our athletic program as well - Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
