I was born in Lakeland Florida. I was baptized as a baby and raised in a Methodist church in Lakeland. After moving to Rockledge when I was 12; I was confirmed at a United Church of Christ Church. I went with a Christian group on a Lynx trip to Stone Mountain where I asked Jesus to be my personal savior.
In 1999 I started attending Calvary Chapel where I was baptized as an adult. During this time I grew as a Christian and made a stronger commitment to serve God with my whole heart. In 2007 God sent us to a new church, Zion Christian Church, where I serve on coffee ministry and in the choir. As I have grown closer to God, my faith in Him has grown.
I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland where I majored in Elementary Education, and later graduated from Warner Southern College with a degree in Organizational Management. Following graduation, I completed my certification for Kindergarten through 6th grade, and taught at a Public School for one year. I taught Kindergarten for a number of years, but God has most recently given me a heart for youth. I am presently teaching 8th grade, and study hall. I am also a peer counselor at Pregnancy resources. I have a very supportive husband named Dan, and a wonderful daughter that attends Community Christian School as well.
I praise God for His blessings and I am honored to teach at a Christian school where I can use God's word as the main curriculum guide. It is a privilege to teach the children life lessons and applications that will help them to be leaders for Christ!
My favorite scripture is John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall have eternal life.”
