I am a Florida native, born in Vero Beach and raised in Melbourne in a loving, Christian family.  At the age of 6, I asked Jesus to be my personal Savior.  As many people who accept the Lord at a young age, my understanding of that decision has deepened through the years and I rededicated my life to the Lord as a teenager.  I have been over peaks and through valleys, but I have found steadfastness in the faithfulness of my Lord, and I praise Him for the grace and mercy He pours over me every day.  My parents have been a great witness to me throughout my life, and continue to live a life of faith that points me to the Lord.

I am blessed to be married to my best friend, and even more blessed that he is a Godly man. We have two sons who are growing daily in the Lord, and who keep us young!  We most enjoy spending time together in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and here on the Florida beaches.  I thank God for my family and I am daily amazed at how He teaches me more about His love and our relationship through my precious husband and children!

After graduating from Eau Gallie High School, I earned my BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida (UCF).  Realizing that teaching was my true calling, I continued with UCF  and earned my Master's degree in Education.  Continuing education is part of my life as an educator and I am regularly involved in professional development through seminars and graduate coursework. I am a lifelong learner with the ultimate goal to be well-equipped for serving the Lord in the ministry here at Community Christian.  Following graduation, I spent two years teaching for the Brevard County Public School System before having my boys.  I continued my service in the educational realm as a preschool teacher for 2 years, and service on the Community Christian School Board of Directors.

In 2003, God placed a clear call on my life to step into a different type of leadership at Community Christian School.  It was at this time that I became the principal.  I am blessed to serve with a group of people who are sacrifically giving their gifts and talents to the Lord - they are my family, and I am blessed by the way they pour themselves out for our Father and for the children and families of Community Christian.  I have a mental picture of the work we do here - our children are truly like sponges...  They absorb what they are exposed to, and it is my mission - my passion - to fill them up with so much of Jesus and things of the Lord that when they go out from Community Christian there will be no room for anything of the enemy to soak in!

I thank God that what He has called me to, He continues to equip me for... loving and ministering to those He brings to Community Christian.

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last... This is my command:  Love each other."  John 15:16-17
