Teresa Murphy

School Accountant and Bookkeeper

I was born and raised in Eau Gallie, FL.   The areas surrounding Community Christian were some of my favorite places to hang out.  I often went to church with my grandparents.  At the age of 11, I realized that I was a sinner and that God had sent His son, Jesus, to save me from that sin and its consequences.  With the understanding that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, I accepted His free gift of salvation.

After graduating from Eau Gallie High School in 1981, I went to the University of Central Florida for a year, and then married my high school sweetheart, Patrick Murphy, and we moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  While my husband was serving in the Air Force at KI Sawyer AFB, I completed my bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Northern Michigan University.  After returning to Melbourne in 1985, I was mostly a stay at home mom and home schooled our three children.  I have had several part time bookkeeping jobs in the business world and in nonprofit organizations.  I became the bookkeeper at CCS in the summer of 2007.  Working part time at the school and from my home allowed me to continue homeschooling my youngest child.

I have enjoyed many challenges and blessings during my time at CCS as I have seen God do the impossible in my own life and in the life of the school.  I count it a privilege to work with such Godly men and women and to serve God by doing something I thoroughly love to do!

“Whom have I in heaven but You?  And earth has nothing I desire besides You.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73: 25-26
