"My daughter's previous school stopped education after kindergarten. My husband and I were praying that the Lord would lead us to a school that not only had a great education program, but a loving environment. We have found it! I instantly felt like a part of the CCS family. The staff, teachers, all faculty are unbelievable! We are truly blessed to have our daughter at such an amazing school. Best part... they go through 12th grade!" Christy and Bobbly Schelich
"Our family is simply 'BLESSED' by CCS! The teachers genuinely care for the children and the families. The administration is approachable and loving with a true concern for us in their hearts. Christ is 'ALIVE' at this school! That is, after all, why we chose a Christian school for our family.
We prayed for two years about moving our children from our previous faith-based school to CCS. I can honestly say, I truly wish we would have made the switch sooner. We just had to know it was God and not us making the change. 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6'
It is obvious that Community Christian School follows God's lead and not their own. That is what it's all about. They are completely focused on the 'MISSION' rather than the numbers. In a world where quality is often sacrificed to accommodate quantity, this school is a breath of fresh air for the Christ-centered family." The Russell Family
I am blessed to have worked at Community Christian School since the early 1990’s. During this time, I have seen and experienced many changes and chapters in the school’s life. There have been facility and playground renovations, curriculum enhancements, fine arts programs, team sports opportunities and the implementation of computer systems. There are a few things that have not changed – Our mission to create a Christian learning community to train students to know, love and to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, and to equip them spiritually and academically for life. Another thing that has not changed is the sense of family we have here. Once you have been a part of the CCS family, you are always a part of the CCS family. I cherish the friendships I have made with the many parents and staff members over the years. I have kept in touch with many teachers and families that have moved or have been called to serve elsewhere, and they all say the same thing: that 'Community Christian will always feel like home!' I have had the joy and rare opportunity to watch several of my former first graders grow in grace and develop into fine, fruitful young men and women. Being a teacher at Community Christian School is not a job to me, it is a calling and a precious ministry." Kristine Jones
"The employment-application forms I filled out were a strong confirmation that Community Christian School was a place I wanted to teach. In 2007, my wife and I moved to Florida to be near and assist her elderly parents. I had taught in a Christian school for 30 years, and I wanted to find a school in this area where I could continue teaching. After a visit with Mrs. Earls, the principal, I was given an employment application. I rejoiced as I looked through the questions asked of me. Community Christian was just as interested in my Christian philosophy on education and personal Christian testimony as they were in my academic background and teaching experience. They valued what I value—academic basics with Christ at the center and the Word of God as its foundation. We want each student to experience life “to the full”. Education should be based on truth. I know of no one who intentionally sends their child to school to be deceived and believe lies. The Psalmist writes, “…the word of the Lord is right and true” (Psalm 33:4). Paul writes, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (II Timothy 3:16-17). Doesn’t that sound like a good foundation for education? I enjoy teaching at CCS because that’s our stand. Imagine trying to teach children how to live abundant life without the principles of God’s Word—principles for relationship, character development, behavior, and even how to think. Through Christ, God’s Word, and God’s Spirit, staff and students alike can be led “into all truth” (John 16:13). Life to the full includes freedom, and the truth sets free. I consider it a privilege and blessing to be a part of God’s education ministry at Community Christian School where students can learn about life—what it is, where to find it, how to seek it, and how to live and experience it 'to the full'." Michael just had his 6th grade lock-in and he was really excited about staying the night with his teachers and friends. To Timothy, CCS is a second home - we love when we see a 9th grade student come up and give our little 3rd grader a high five! Most teens would not even acknowledge a younger student. Conor, although he was anxious about beginning kindergarten, has grown tremendously in his excitement for school and for the Lord. He is so proud when he reaches 'Super Star' or when he memorizes his scripture for the week.
The Biblical foundation, the family atmosphere and education that our children receive at CCS is irreplaceable. We are grateful for the many benefits that CCS adds to our family. Thank you for the gifts that each of you contribute to God's glory in this school. So in Christ, we though many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
